For those of you who landlord in borderline areas or worse, what's your rule of thumb on when to put security metal over your windows and doors?

That's kind of what I was thinking, but I wonder what they'd want for a "walkway" non skid coating would be easy but if they want all railings to code all Along the whole roof then I'll probably be better off doing metal fire escapes on the side windows.  

Beside having a good wifi connection, the most important thing for smart locks is making sure the deadbolt is not hitting the metal strike plate or wood in the door. 

IT might not....Second we did a 10 building complex 2 story builidngs, that had paint on the brick,, we sand blasted the paint off as much as we could.. the look of the exposed brick with partial paint on it had a old European look which is WOW really popular now.. the owner did copper clad trim on windows and copper color lighting to make it really look awesome.

Engineered metal goes up in a long weekend. 

But I’d probably go with something that’s all metal.
