It's not an issue I've encountered before, as @Avery Carl said usually equipment is split so no one person holds all the power, but shared wells are very common and operate in harmony the vast majority of the time.  

I want harmony in other aspects of my life and have fun along the way with the journey.Whatever goal you set do not look at what everyone else is doing as the way things have to be done.

A relative comes back, an office becomes needed in a home (lots of different reasons for that possibility), another child is on the way, more storage needed as you co-exist longer and acquire more stuff.

Do you care about helping people or just making money or have you found a way to fuse the two together in harmony?

I don't think it works that way.I think the way it really works is that rights coexist simultaneously.

I don't think a mortgage and a land contract can co-exist.
