Wait until you're doing a commercial apt purchase and the golly-gee  mirror to your PP 'estimate of value' costs you $3500 for the privilege.It's a racket, really.

What a racket.  

I had a house that was worth $60,000, but had to pay for the 100,000, it is a racket.

When I started in this racket, I probably quit 10x.

Robert, some people have made good money in the MH racket, some have conived thier way into taking alot of money (better describes making it).

I was required to pay a non refundable fee of $1,000 up front which in my mind should have covered these inspectionsEven though they refused to fund the loan they refused to refund that $1,000Pretty good racket they got going - grab a thousand bucks from you and then do nothing for you.As the saying goes - fool me knce shame on you, fool me twice shame on me - would never consider doing business with them again  

But I thought it was quite a racket.)

As an added plus, a real appraiser would not be rewarding those racketeers.
