We decided to rent, this way if the sale fell through we would only lose our time packing (we needed to purge anyway), the cost of a POD and one month's rent.

Definitely thinking about how to diversify within RE - was just listening to the BP pod #1085 where Dave interviewed Dion McNeeley and he talked about that.

I first want to say that I am a new participant in the community but I have followed you guys since Brian ran all the pods(Ha!)

The POD idea seems great on paper but had little to no guidance after 6 weeks and didn't pan out the way I was hoping.

Versus just listening to whatever topics are on the pod that week.

At that point, it is added to that property's basis and depreciated.I'm not sure if the mods will allow me to directly link my blog here but you can find it on my website; a "nicholas aiola blog" Google search should bring it right up, too :)

You can't just insert it in somewhere and expect it to work for your particular situation.There is a lot of stuff in there that is general but you need to make mods to work for you.
