The guru's that promise to teach you the secrets are often packaging generic information and selling it at phenomenal markup to people that want to get started but often do not have the resources to start and the fee they are charged simply puts them further behind. 

And I believe the pain might be heightened in BC, compared to other markets, because of the following:(a) The town is rather a best kept secret compared to others, meaning not well advertised or known.

Don't get discouraged from this forum, I recommend finding some FB groups that focus on building a PM or cohost business, like STR Secrets. 

My secret counties list is simply the areas I definitively know deals are being done myself, by my competition or my students.
