If you enlarge the area to include Central America as many do, I'd consider Mexico (full disclosure: I own property and now develop there) and Panama as well, which have even less grid, road and supply chain issues than the Dominican Republic.

If there is discoloration in the wood pores then you can do a light sanding, HEPA vacuum, wipe with the soap/water solution, allow to dry and HEPA vacuum again.

Too damn many is the right answer - luckily my spam filter serves me welll in catching them so I don't have to experience the dread of resding each of them.But even worse is the fact that the other forms of spam (unsolicited ads for watches, male enlargement, pharmaceuticals, etc) show a marked increase after any time I have "subscribed" to some pitchman's new "offering".
