Weed out 99% of them by immediately requesting a conference call on Skype where you see them on video.Scammers tend to hide behind a keyboard with smoke and mirrors.Legitimate mortgage brokers or lenders have no problem getting paid their fee when it closes.If a lender tells you everything is fine etc. when submitting your deal then run.

What the difference in paying a Pace Morby or someone like that vs paying the hundreds or thousands of dollars for the bigger pockets boot camps or paying a couple thousand dollars to go to a conference?

I had hoped that the new PM owners would reach out to the owners with a welcome letter, a phone call,  a video message or a conference call.....heck, I'd take an email.

I was hoping that BP will organize a 2 day conference, hoping I can educate myself regarding private funding there.

Not sure if they still have this option but at a conference in April furnished finder was offering a free professional photo shoot with sign up.

We read a lot of books, attended conferences, etc. but I think the most important thing we did in the beginning was consistently attending a multifamily investor networking group.
