One person's trash is another person's treasure...what I've noticed is that some people have built very good teams which allow them to get work done cheaper than others. 

You may be able to epoxy coat it.Cast iron is not necessary, just avoid the cheap metal coated tubs.

We have several options to minimize squatters and breakins to steal mechanicals:1) Remove Mechanicals (so can't be stolen), install ArmorGuard doorjamb reinforcement to make it harder to kick in doors and use double-key deadbolts so entry thru a window still doesn't allow opening of a door for greater access.2) Install DAWGS which are metal screens that replace doors and cover windows to deter entry.

The houses around that area have some weird features, the interior doors are all metal.
