I am open for either options but would like experts advice for a newbie - which will be most beneficial  down the line in 5 to 10 years.

But you’re already asking why you should involve an expert. 

It started with a completely redesigned website, and included monthly tasks such as articles (most of which I wrote and the SEO expert modified - edited, placement of articles and comments etc in LinkedIn, Facebook, etc., keyword optimization, and about 20 other things I have little or no familiarity with.  

This is all to get your name out there and get people to start viewing you as an expert in the space, but I will note this is a fairly crowded space and takes time to build name recognition.The in-person route is building your network.  

We've found it has superior reporting features, integration features, and is overall more efficient to work within than other REI-specific software.The downside is QBO is not set up for REI so you'll need to do that or work with an expert to ensure it is set up for your business appropriately.
