So many people spend and abundance of time analyzing what TV or car to buy, and then put no thought into vetting who they put their financial future into the hands of.

I hesitate to use the word flip as it seems to have a negative meaning to those watching reality TV. ;).

Then came the house flipping TV shows, the house flipping seminars, the house flipping gurus, the house flipping franchised businesses, available house flipping information on the internet, etc and the field got saturated.  

I have a much better experience watching it on TV.

Who wants to just sit around and watch tv all day?

My wife died two years ago of breast cancer so basically any time I'm not working I'm taking care of my kids and doing everything I can to make sure they are happy and engaged and learning (not just sitting in front of a TV), but it still doesn't feel like I have enough time with them and as they get older and start having baseball games and dance recitals, I don't want to just sub in a relative or some caregiver.
