If enough landlords speak up, perhaps a class-action for unfair targeting of a specific group can be brought together.It's no different than a landlord being sued for someone being bitten by a tenant's ESA pit bull on his property with a strict "no pets" policy.

I'm the only one that charges a fee for new leases or lease renewals, I charge a higher monthly fee, I keep pet rent and late fees, etc.

Additionally, all fees (cleaning, pet, utilities, etc.) must now be listed upfront, which cuts into flexibility and could hurt perceived value.
