Regarding the servicer - again borrower has no control over who that is as its lender selected.Sorry you had to go through this. 

You might want to look into "Checkbook Control" where you create an LLC and have your IRA own the LLC.

Before anyone tries  to convince you to form an LLC in a state other than the state where the property is located or where you live, ask them to explain the fact pattern where the NV, WY or DE LLC will actually become relevant.

Proceed with caution my friend and make sure you are able to mentally let go of control as a limited partner.
