@John Underwood Yes I know you keep most of your properties so I was surprised at the question. :-)   There could be cases regarding mortgages and since it is a similar situation they might be good guidance. 

No surprise that the person who introduced the bill is a realtor and likely receives a good bit of funding from the NAR.It's not about homeowner protection and it's not about wholesaling, it's simply the NAR lobbying the elected politicians so they can receive more membership dues.

If you stop withholding, you’ll feel like you have more money each month, but when those surprise costs hit, it’s easy to tap into funds that were supposed to be saved for taxes.Then come tax time, you may not have enough to pay what you owe.

EDUCATE YOURSELF - yes, it will take time, but will lead to a selection that better meets your expectations & avoids potentially costly surprises!

But they’re still price sensitive, so if your place isn’t reasonably priced for what it offers, don’t be surprised if you get skipped.Meanwhile, rural and nature-based markets remain strong.

I would suggest managing it yourself but a surprisingly large number of owners don't want the tenants to know that they are the owners and want separation.
