BK stays on 10 years. 2004 lenders won't put as much weight on that as CURRENT CREDIT HISTORY and RECENT PERFORMANCE.You can still dispute the BK and if the credit agencies do not respond back in the time frame as verified it will be removed.It could come back on but generally they have no motivation to put it back on like collection companies do.

If there's a personal injury case, landlord/tenant dispute, or an eviction case, I would much rather be in Tarrant or Collin County as opposed to Dallas if I'm a landlord.

Also, I couldn't keep the earnest money because if I did she would dispute it with the title company and I couldn't sell or even list the house for sale until the dispute was settled.
