“If we made your money we could do that too” —we work extremely hard in has & oil currently.

Also the non-immigrants working in agriculture and oil fields- that’s hard work to me.

The most obvious example is oil & gas.

The range hood looks disgusting because someone had spilled cooking oil down onto it, and then a bag of sugar.

People are leaving Alberta and moving to BC because of job losses from the oil price decline.

Bakersfield was mostly an oil and ag community and both sectors were hit pretty hard which obviously took the area down pretty far, but in the past few years there have been massive changes and adaptations away from the solely ag and oil community.
