This area has a wide diverse job sectors (federal/state jobs, military, big corporate jobs and lots of medical).

I'm looking to potentially invest in a STR in Big Bear, CA to offset our W-2 income, and am wondering if Big Bear or Arrowhead area is a good market for short term rentals? 

Wondering if it would even flag, and how they'd treat something this sloppy.

The past year tenant selection seems to have gone downhill significantly. 80% of the prospects have below 600 scores, terrible job history, and even the halfway decent ones completely waste time by begging to see the property then not showing.

Also, the BLS jobs revisions last week showed huge drops, and those numbers were consistent with ADP numbers and other academic numbers.

Just wondering if it is a general trend or I am just lucky. 

But that it’s subject to the subdivision map act (going to be researching what that is today).Wondering if that is worth doing, if it would make the property more valuable to potential buyers.

I've used them before for RE on a very short term basis.Keep in mind, if you lose your job or want to change jobs in the next 5 years, the outstanding loan amount becomes due. 

Wondering if there is anyone who runs/operates assisted living residences around here.

Have never done that so i was wondering what i shoukd take i to consideration before purchasing a coop.
