STRs have been mostly banned in the City of South Lake Tahoe since a voter initiative passed in 2018.  

I know many towns have caught on and banned them, but the return with them seems so favorable and you can expand at your pace without needing to do significant planning board approvals for an expansion, site work, additional pavement or lighting.

Yeah, when all of these eventually blow up and a bunch of consumers have their credit and finances wrecked and lose homes, my guess is that more regulation will come down to effectively ban Subto for residential mortgages

Then convert to MTR (HOA bans less than 30 day rentals) to hopefully at least break even cash flow in the first year.
