There are lenders comfortable with a $80k value as long as the loan is not under $50k.

As indicated it is a tough market so in this market, I consider this pretty good in a location I want to own.

I pointed them out and it became apparent that the gentleman had been doing this for years, so obviously it appeared to be working for him… so just because I was not comfortable with it did not mean it was not working for him or that it was illegal.
