Smoky Mountains 

Thanks for your insight on this and other smoky mountain specific info .

I like really estate because it gets me the things that I really like and enjoy such as my own home, my cabins in the Mountains in Lakeside, Arizona and the 3 large, super properties that I have in Costa Rica that I rent out as vacation rentals.

If you search for a national number on the number of housing units available vs the number of people looking for housing, there are always plenty of units available.The problem is everyone wants to live where they want to live...near their family, near their favorite job, near the beach/lake/mountains, etc....People have gotten spoiled and entitled.For example, everyone would love to live in San Diego, let's say....great weather, pretty girls, tacos, micro-breweries by the hundreds...But rents are outrageous and home prices are even worse.

The romantic part is owning your own beach, great view, stream/lake/river frontage, mountain or hilltop, etc.  

We have a shortage of housing and because we are surrounded by mountains it's hard to build so the supply is rapidly shirking driving rents. 

It was called Sevierville Home w/ Mountain & Lake Views!   

If I was your tenant I would also expect to be released out of the lease and unwilling to blackout the windows creating a cave like atmosphere or turn off my electronics however them refusing the portable ac's is odd.
