It's cheap as heck, just put one together and see how the fasteners work....cheap.I would go to a) lower end antiques stores (or yard sales), and b) high-end thrift stores (not Goodwill, usually charity run stores like Humane Societies and such have really good donated furniture, plates , etc...

We are all party to the infancy of industry disruption.....which in my opinion our antiquated industry could use.

We tend to furnish our properties with functional antiques, log beds, and hickory or other hardwood dining sets.  

Otherwise, I would say.... never.Not worth it.Issues:- tenants not knowing how to connect their device and calling you for help- tenants still not understanding how to connect, asking you to come do it - tenants trying to connect some ridiculously old device that's not compatible- tenant hogging bandwidth with streaming video or Skype or whatever- tenant doing illegal non-sense - tenants calling all the time whining that their internet is slow - tenant whining that their signal isn't strong enough... on antique devices.- tenant calling at some obscene hour saying their internet is downWith roommates, I've done/do it.

People who put "location" at the top of the list are already making their lives significantly more difficult, and agents who still apply the antiquated "location, location, location" mentality to STR cannot possibly get the returns our clients get. 

That's on today's list of things to do as well as inventory everything that got damaged, several antiques were being stored there.We have taken some pictures and will take more tomorrow.

If one bedrooms are are$475 a month then the numbers tell me they are mostly smaller units.I would expect to find an antiquated set-up that locals arenot attracted to with dated if not deficient plumbing and Mechanicals.

Proof that one man's (or woman's in this case) junk is another's antique,...and my all time favorite...10 - A Piano in excellent condition (after the cigarette smell was removed...took 6 months).
