hi,As I'm in the learning process about real estate investing, I want to study the angle of turnkey investments sold by companies.My question is what exactly do I need to know about the property when I do the due diligence to find out if it's a good buy, where do I find this information or should I use a lawyer for that?

hey @Mindy Jensen I can give you some direction since I deal with multi family legislation and laws in Colorado, but I'm not a lawyer so take it for what it is.

Demands were made for payment by my lawyer, landlord says pet deposit is non-refundable, lawyer says full amount is due because we never moved in.

Your friend would or could have 0% control, but with x% of equity.Disclaimer, I am not a lawyer so please don't hold this as the gospel truth.  

I would contact my lawyer/discount legal service immediately.
