We could not do that.Flat screens today - Autonomous driving cars might make garages and streets more obsolete in the future.Technology is changing the school system but it is still always best to factor in properties within better school districts because they tend to be in better and cleaner areas and people want that for their family. 

Assets can also be generally appreciating, like real estate, equities ect, or deprecating, like cars or a beanie baby collection. 

Ones that stay as they are I have seen turn into car rental places such as Enterprise or Hertz.

Its probably also important to note that I have 0 debt and am basically living for free besides car insurance and a phone bill.

I bought my first home last year (town home: 2 bed 2 bathroom 1 car garage).
