i am looking into purchasing a duplex and living in one unit while renting the other unit out, either long term or sort term. my question is whether or not i should put the property in my llcs name or not being that i will be living in one of the units?

I am 18 years old living in Seattle, WA.

Also, I have considered getting an FHA loan and living in a MFR for a little while.

I understand the concept of making a tenant responsible for small repairs but tenants in nature live paycheck to paycheck mostly so it likely won't get fixed. 

When living in one half, our mortgage minus the rental income, will be $350.

Of those that stick around, 80% of them only sell 20% of the homes, which means they aren't making a great living.

I know its easier to do it all at once, but I don't think my wife would appreciate living in a construction zone.

I live in Amarillo, I am interested in single family home rentals in Amarillo.

We are looking to buy a house of our own and she asked for some time to save, so in the meantime, I was going to take some of my extra savings from sharing rent to start investing on my own.However, from day one, living in the house has been a nightmare. 

Most of my rentals are in Southern Oregon but I live in Alaska and Arizona
