I had thought the opposite about the co-signer, but your argument convinced me that I'd open myself to a can of worms. 

In Ontario the limit for Small Claims has been going in the opposite direction - it is now $25,000.

All but one of these is usually visible and apparent on your first meeting, i.e. a landlord could assume an applicant wearing a hijab is of the Muslim faith, or someone of darker skin tone is of ethnic descent, or a person who walks with a cane or is wheelchair-bound has a disability, or a person who speaks Spanish fluently (or conversely doesn't speak English well) is of Hispanic or Latin or non-American descent, or a woman is, well, a woman.

Just the opposite.

Then there's the opposite end of it.

All in all, it's a result of one's selfishness IMPO.One has to understand that "for every action, there's an equal and opposite reaction."  

Many of the people here criticizing these anti-discrimination measures don't have profile pics, and anyway I won't make assumptions about anyone's ethnic background based on how they look.  

House is in great shape and move in ready, the main issue is that it has no driveway and no room to add one, also only parking is on opposite side of street.   

I've owned student rentals for 24 years and there are too many potential issues, when you just "shove" people together especially of the opposite sex.
