Most new real estate agents don't, and many experienced ones sell based on contacts they have or other non-skill based methods of selling.So my caution to you is, you'll have to, to some extent, rub elbows with the others to learn certain things.

My dad works for the county assessor for Lancaster County (where Lincoln is located) and he built spec homes in the 80's so I have some skills but nothing rehabber worthy so I figure my best bet is wholesaling.

I used overmount sinks mainly because I did the granite installation myself (cost $275 plus time of my own labor) and at that point didn't have the tools or skills to make and polish the sink cut, or drill large holes through the granite for faucets.

If you have the skill set I would always go with a fixer upper, buy well and fix up to increase market value.
