So today we pulled some properties on Zillow...Boy, those near downtown Austin are super expensive, like 70% of Bay Area price.....But 10 miles outside from downtown, price is still very reasonable.....Any Austin investor to chim in?

.- Seller wants top dollar, and the end game is to sell, but the only buyer(s) willing to pay that top dollar are renters- Buyer wants to save up some more $$, increase their credit score, or a whole slew of other reasons.In my area, SFR in Class A areas are in super high demand.

@Carol Venolia  our rental properties are the least of our problems .the lake co fire is devastating, over 700 homes burned to the ground one person diedAnd folks have lost their pets, horses are running around not knowing where to go and to horse owners this is like losing children.My brother lives in the affected area he is also a heavy equipment operator on Sat he got called to the butte fire  he has worked virtually non stop on fires this summer.

In my opinion an A location can be in cities like New York and San Francisco, and in other markets too like Chattanooga TN, or Milwaukee, WI.I guess I can tack on the notion of super A locations.
