I have one rental with a pool, I don't like the pool company I had used, and the pump was out, so I bought a pump online and called a plumber I use for small jobs,,,he doesn't speak english and I don't speak spanish.I showed him what we needed to do to plumb the pump,,he started and I left,,when I got back later I noticed he had run the pipe differently than it was before, but everything worked fine.A day or two later I was over trying to get the pool in better shape (since the pump was out a few days it had greened up),,when I went to clean the basket on the intake side of the pump, I realized the way he ran the plumbing, there was no way to get it out,,,he ran a line over the top,,you can open it, but no room to pull the basket out,,,so I just cleaned out the basket by hand and told the tenants that was how it was done,,,they didn't know the difference

I'm looking to get more aggressive on that angle as well.My goal is that by the time my oldest son graduates high school (he's a sophmore this year) - I will have enough passive income to make this a full time career.I would like to network with wholesalers, bird-dogs and other agents in the area.I'm not a member but I've attended several of the Houston area REI club meetings/mixers.I'm very open to any and all advice and/or educational opportunities to move me along.

The open permit creates a cloud on your title and a new lender will not lend on the property until their chain is clear.

Christopher, I do not know anything about your financial situation but if you have decent credit I would be at a local/regional bank when they open tomorrow to find out if it is possible for you to get qualified for a loan.
Travis Elliott I JUST CLOSED THRE CREDIT CARDS OUT.. WILL THAT HURT MY SCORE?
16 November 2011 | 10 replies
Well I wish you would have posted here BEFORE closing them out.Length of credit history in good standing DOES affect your credit scores. If you have other credit that has a long history it shouldn't affect you that much.If however closing the 3 credit cards with 7 years of history you know only have a few credit lines with only 1 year or 2 of being open that is not great. In the end it shouldn't hurt you too much. When they made the new credit card rules last year or was it the year before credit card companies raised interest rates and annual fees from no fees.So what happened is the great credit people lost benefits because Obama wanted people with bad credit to not be taken advantage of.The credit companies simply restructured to make the same money. So A law passed that had good intentions but was misguided. The government believes when they pass a law people or companies will just take the loss but it never happens. So in the end these laws are just spinning wheels and not doing anything.I know many people who have closed their accounts once interest rates go up or annual fees are imposed. The downside is people want to maintain credit but some credit companies have been closing accounts if you don't use enough and they make a certain amount of interest off of you.It is getting rediculuos.
