I figured give it 10 years and with more investments and similar decisions and I'll buy these with passive income and won't have to worry about it being a "depreciating asset" - it will be like furniture, nice to have, usable and expendable. 

As compared to today, the former process was more like crafting a fine piece of handmade furniture, instead of buying something at Ikea.
