The units are installed in each room generally on side walls or ceilings and each room has its own temp control.  

I always chuckle when a new land lord bemoans the "plumbing problems" of having a pipe leak in the bathroom ceiling on a "turn key" property.

If there is no evidence of a current or past leak should a wall/ceiling be taken down now while renovating?  

So it depends on where the bathrooms are located but you should either be able to go up to vertical to attic space and horizontal over to just under a roof eve to exit on top floor unless you have a flat roof.first floor might need to open up ceilings and go to nearest wall to exterior.. hole saw cut thru the brick isn't fast but for the size opening your talking it's gonna work.  

Basements tend to be noisy and their ceilings usually non-insulated.

You can see a post above the bar which is where overhead cabinets were hanging down about 10" from the ceiling over the bar.  

I've had them not tell me about a roof leak until half the ceiling was caving in.Security deposits are okay, but in my area the judge won't let you keep them for a broken lease, only damages.
