@Guylaine Madden I will be starting a business in Costa Rica within the next few months where I will be traveling back and forth on a regular (likely monthly) basis.

Another thing that called my attention was the fact that, if those people are making so much money as they claimed, why are they traveling away from home to give speeches/consult. 

I don't have personal experience with a next door dry cleaner, but I do know that the older ones used nasty chemicals that travel.

Especially is your traveling to the apartment to show it.

The location is amazing and the contract seems legitimate but being in a foreign country and having stumbled across while traveling, I am a bit skeptical.What steps should I take to confirm that the contract is legal and not some scam?

I do contract consulting work sporadically and travel a few months of the year, but the conventional route is not an option for me either.

Just like the MLS they are able to syndicate to most of the travel sites like booking.com, tripadvoisor, expedia, etc.
