Let me add one more - liability.If there's a fire or some other catastrophe and the fault is traced back to unpermitted work, you can expect your insurance company to deny your claim and any injured people to sue you into oblivion.Get the permit and don't have that Sword of Damocles hanging over your head.

In my head, it would make sense to try to soundproof any shared walls and maybe even fence half of the yard so each guest has their own space to enjoy.

Off the top of my head, $5K seems reasonable for all of those appliances particularly if you are getting 2ish year warranties on each appliance and they are brand new.
