@Mark Poulton,   The bigger mystery for me, is how is it that the county has not filed a property tax foreclosure action -with 14 years of property taxes outstanding?

Prior to enter private practice, I was on the dark side representing Banks in foreclosure related actions.

You likely would have eventually gotten clear title, but you would have had to do a quiet title action on it. 

I got notices but no action was ever taken and I (obviously) paid the taxes off when I sold the house.  

Haven't pulled the trigger yet because I feel like I need to take some more steps towards my education and taking action before I make any purchases.

Make sure you have an anti-venom action plan when it does.

Unless the owners are Dead and the house is paid off most  owners redeem when they are served with the foreclosure action.

I think my best course of action is to get list like this from as many services as I can and clean the data myself.

Doesn't really seem to serve any real purpose and just leaves people sitting wishing for something that doesn't exist without hard work not handouts.Obviously the majority of investors on here do not believe in dreams they take action and work to achieve a goal others only dream about.

The classic pay for more and more education and never actually take any real action.
