I'll be working remotely so I'm flexible on the specific area - the only real requirement is that I'm <45 minutes away from the MSP airport. 

The amount of money you save could not outweigh the sacrifices to you in your specific situation, but for others the sacrifice may be well worth it.I would advise that you chart out exactly what amount of money savings would make it "worth it" to you.

Hi BP community,Has anyone in the Pittsburgh area, specifically serviced by People's Gas, Duq Light or PAWC purchased one of those utility line protection plans and actually had to file a claim?

It will depend on the specifics of your market, but in some of the vacation communities down here Big Bear etc. homes can sit on the market much longer than they would if the primary buyers were going to be owner occupants.

Consult a competent 1031 qualified inrtermediary about what clauses to write into your sales contract as well as the specific requirments for a successful tax deferred exchange.
