The key to success in real estate is having knowledge in multiple areas and strategies that way you find deals were someone less experienced can't.

For instance, the cost to prepare a return for a single individual will be different than for a married individual with children, all else being equal.Other drivers are the cost of living where your CPA is located (CA CPAs are more expensive than AL CPAs), their practice's overhead, and the CPA's experience and knowledge level.I don't know of any practitioner who wouldn't charge for more states. 

Account Closed said in the most recent podcast episode, BRRR is investing with training wheels because I'm not leaving my money in the deal so regardless of what the market does my quality tenants I've found (by leveraging my brothers knowledge of the local demographics) will ultimately be helping me build equity and get some cashflow and good experience at the same time. 

You bring the capital and I bring the knowledge.

I have been tossing them to the side because my lack of knowledge in the area of short sales, but I feel like that might be a mistake to do.

Use your knowledge to check and screen the contractors, not show how smart you are up front (they wont care).
