An HVAC person says that since my AC system was on R22 and shows it's age (outside unit was pretty rusty), he recommends replacing the wholesystem -- new outside unit, new lines, and new air handler.

Or do you have an air purifier/filtration system built in, sometimes that runs on a timer to filter it.

I know people are nervous about asbestos, but as long as it isn't being crushed or smashed up to allow it to get in the air then there isn't really any risk.

You found the tiles and there is more; but it is not a big deal, unless for example, there is a forced air heating system and you decide to do an extensive re-model.

We had no idea we had to get a brand new furnace and air conditioner, was not expecting the work we had to do AFTER the foundation with all the yard items.

At the time it was a great price for a new home build in Las Vegas next to the air force base.
