For example, generate so much wealth by a certain time? 

Facebook: So far Facebook has been generating a lot of buyer leads using the power of localized real estate groups.

A duplex with large units (like 3/2 or larger) on each side would generate more rent and keep your monthly cost down.Having a 5-7-year occupancy timeline is great because, even with 5-10% down, you can find a property that will cashflow when you move out.To answer some of your specific questions:Zoning throughout much of LA is rather mixed between single-family (R1) and multifamily (R2 and up).

At one point, there were several hard money loan funds which generate passive income and was a very easy way to do this.

In contrast, if I buy and hold properties for the purpose of generating rental income, proceeds on the eventual sale will be treated as a capital gain.

Goals for the week:Our main focus right now is on generating leads, so we are concentrating on marketing, marketing, marketing.

Can  a serious illness that will cause one of you or both to lose their earning power or income generation create a hardship for you?

I also know now why I was always reluctant to jump into this; all these seminars say how you need no money, free stuff to generate leads etc.
