Specifically, this bill would 1) only allow short-term rentals in a primary residence, 2) would limit unhosted rentals to 30 days per year and 3) would not allow local governments to make short-term rentals available for longer than what is allowed in this bill.

I have a couple section 8 properties in SC and I love the program.My area pays 110% of market rents.Section 8 inspects my properties at least once a year to make sure tenants are taking care of property and I find out if anything needs to be repaired.The Government direct deposits most or all of the rent into my account.Tenants in my experience take care of the property so that they don't loose the free government money.

It needs to be converted to a 2 family but due to no off street parking it will require a variance, blue prints, survey, and an engineer in order to have a chance at converting it.

Still the rents are high because of Section 8 and Eden government assisted rent programs that pay $$$ (think $885 for a 2bd) for properites with very little appeal.
