Update: After the initial post I was able to do so more research online and through the forums (where there were endless posts on the subject). 

I am getting a very interesting education on these assets and the statute of limitations especially on lines of credit are very important to understand.Just curious if anyone plays in this space and can share some experience as well

We screen through an online service with a basic application (including pay stubs, etc.), along with a report that covers criminal, credit, and eviction history.

True to form, they didn't disclose they had added that language. 

The language is vague but I'm assuming our routine contributions over time would constitute towards the "repayment over 3-years."

I held a couple online meet ups over zoom which were super interesting, I learnt a lot from them.

This used to be done in newspaper classifieds, but you can do it online for free now.  

An investor doesn't need a license though so states require it most don't, here you will also learn lot's of jargon, is like sort of moving to a new country and learning the language.

There are online sites like auction.com and Hubzu.If you are referring to sheriff sale auctions, your local county in New Jersey holds them.

We've bought from some online auctions which is a much different process than the courthouse foreclosure auctions.
