One area that I fear I struggle in is tenant management, or lack thereof.

Conclusion.. well.. so many people are doing what you are doing and most people that do what you are doing struggle.. so why would you think that YOU doing it .. that you are the exception?

I've been struggling with "needy" tenants and I am not sure where to draw the line.

The second type of people are ones that bought recently at 7%+ and now can't sell because of a slowing market, and or are struggling to cover the mortgage now and are hoping that a refi lowers the payment enough to make it more palpable.

I see it a lot when someone passes and the kids continue to pay the loan, lender doesn't care as long as they are getting paid, until something changes or goes wrong then the kids struggle to pay.

And your choice of Location is really second to none IMO...I also think the idea of house hacking could be ideal for you, especially if you can find someone you absolutely trust to help you keep an eye on stuff while you’re gone.One thing I’ve struggled with is property management.
