I know its just costing them money sitting there, but sometimes people don't want to sell a place for cheap.

My parents keep rents low and are "patient" with renters in order to avoid the hassle of people moving in and out--older people like security, I guess.  

That is the NYC commute range people do.    

A lot of people make a lot of money a lot of different ways. 

That is done, but most people buy the next X number of payments.  

Besides, once you put it up, it's going to be aggravating for the current tenant; in my example above, my tenant had several people knock on the door at various times asking if they could come in and see the place.

Having same issue looking for attorneys that do assignments. this is so frustrating because i have learned to generate leads ez enough but even if i get property under contract i still have half a deal because i cant seem to locate key people to consumate deals so i can complete transactions.
