Drive through the "second ring" towns and they look like the "first ring" cities 25 years ago.  

If the property is a duplex, but legally cut up into two town homes or condos, then you may still be able to finance it with a single loan.

Conversely, most homes in this specific area/town are selling at closer to $300/SF.
