Just make sure you’re comparing apples to apples, closing costs, prepayment terms, and any fees can make a big difference beyond just the interest rate. 

Those quotes can be fair for a 4‑zone retrofit without ducts, but only if the scope is apples to apples: line-set lengths, BTUs per head, brand/warranty, electrical, condensate pumps, permits, and wall patching.

It's not all apples to apples of course.

When looking at after-repair values, make sure to look as close to your property as possible and try to compare apples to apples.

But they are ever so rare today, not just a needle in a haystack but more so finding a specific color of needle, with a specific bend to it, in a stack of needles in a hay barn.......

Be interested to see a neighborhood where that’s the case comparing apples to apples (same area and similar sqft/bedrooms etc)

In my area gone are the days where someone throws down cringe worthy multicolor gray laminate, a questionable slab of granite with some barn doors and doubles their money.

And, I had a consultation with them last year and asked for apples-to-apples policies so I could compare premiums against my current policies.
