@Donald Paul you're getting some good advice from @Greg Scott, but I'm looking at this another way...If what you say is true, and the owner hired the PMC AFTER the owner did the final walk-thru with your daughter, then the PMC has no legal right to request this money from your daughter!

He can decide whether to sell or not, but the market sets the price, not him.I own properties in small towns and major cities; it is far easier in small towns because the code enforcement department is a lady named Laurie that had a daughter in my wife's class at the local school last year or is your neighbor's cousin, etc. - it's easier to find a connection point and get somewhere.

So I have a condo I have become 50% owner in.The previous owner is deceased, and his daughter has finished probate.The daughter is one of my tenants.There are a bunch of IRS and State DOR liens on the property.I know that these can be negotiated but not sure where to start.I imagine that I could start calling local IRS numbers and asking who to talk too, but just haven't started working on this yet.Helpful suggestions on where to start?
