I look for moisture around radiators/baseboards, bathroom fans, GFCI outlets, window guards, fridge door seals not cracked (tenants will never report this, your electric bill will), under-sink P-traps for slow drips.

This seems to be pretty standard for the area.The bad:  The home inspection found evidence of knob & tube wiring, and there is basically 1 outlet per room with tenants running power strips and extension cords all over the place.

You can also mention that using electricity from those outlets isn’t permitted since it increases building utility costs.Keep it simple and direct!
