There's a lot of negative coverage with ICE raids in Chicago and I'm wondering how much it is effecting buying and selling activity locally or for investors.

Eventually I found out that there was a SWAT team raid about 7 years ago which included tear gas canisters. 

i was invested in one legit REIT back in 2018 that only promised 8% and all assets are secured by 100% single family, not even an apartment.The FBI and SEC raided their office back in 2020.

Feds raided them and shut them down not sure what happened after that though I follow the equitybuild case on pacer ever since we looked at a few of their properties the receiver is selling.

With self-deportation, ICE raids and OUTRAGEOUS tax increases Illinois is going down the wrong path.

Most of the construction workforce came from the Dominican Republic but they are now in hiding due to ICE immigration raids.

He was called to come out to the property average about two nights a week by police for everything from drive by shootings, to drug raids on premises, to violent domestic disputes, to arson. 

I assume live in son has probably raided the bank accounts and will forget to pay insurance/taxes etc. 

Never heard of a property management company or broker raiding an escrow account as their own personal piggy bank.
