Yes you will need a STR compliant property insurance, there are supplemental coverages you can get where you pay by the night or reservation as well.

Our concern is that we are limited to their company policies and do not get the benefit of seeing what else is out there.We have had a recent meeting with them to review all of the policies and coverages and feel good about coverage, etc.I know we may not find significant costs savings out there with current conditions but would like that validation of that if true.

No Coverage for Lost Rent:Landlord policies typically include Loss of Rents coverage, which reimburses you for lost rental income if the property becomes uninhabitable due to a covered event.

Ironically most who spend on LLC's and overkill Insurance are negligent in their operations, are susceptible to carriers excluding coverage, spend an unnecessary amount of time defending claims, experience insurance premium increases etc.
