How to get better Tenants in your Section 8 Duplex

The dirty little secret about duplex tenants is that they are always unhappy. Why is this? Why are duplex tenants so unhappy? The reason most duplex tenants are unhappy is because they want to live in a house instead of an apartment building, but they can't afford to rent a house. By choosing a duplex instead of an apartment building they are hoping to get the experience of a house with the budget of an apartment building. The duplex living arrangement rarely accomplishes their goal of providing them with the experiences of renting a house instead of an apartment which leads to frustration, arguments with their neighbors, and ultimately more frequent tenant turnover. However all is not lost for smart Section 8 landlords. There is a way that Section 8 investors can circumvent all of these problems. By buying side by side duplexes instead of the more common up and down duplexes, investors can provide their tenants with a multi family experience that feels as close to a single family home as possible. This should result in happier tenants, few unit turnovers, and more profit for the property owner. Tune in to HoltonWiseTV for more tips on how to succeed with Section 8 housing.
