New to real estate investing - looking to raise more capital for first investment

I'm brand new to the real estate investing world! I'm very much in the learning and raising capital phase. One year from now, my goal is to own my first Short Term Rental.

My husband and I have young kids, work full time and don't have a ton of extra cash saved up at the moment. While I continue saving for that first rental, I am trying to find ways to side hustle on top of my full time job.

In my search for that side hustle, I've discovered co-hosting. I'd love to learn as much as I can about co-hosting, but it seems like a difficult world to enter without being well established or already having a rental of my own. Is that accurate? Is it possible to be someone's poorly paid intern while I learn the ropes? Might be wishful thinking, but better to put it out there than keep aimlessly wondering.

    @Tasia Reed

    Co-hosting is a great way to get started without owning a property. Reach out to local hosts. They often need help with guest messaging, turnovers, or scheduling. Even part-time or low-pay work can give you experience, build your network, and prep you for your first STR.
