Buy a house. Quit your job. Start a business... In the same week.

I wrote this blog originally on 8/16/16 and it is amazing how far we have changed as businessmen. I owe a good amount of success and growth to the Bigger Pockets community.

Let me take this moment to introduce myself and thank you for taking the time to visit our blog. The last 10 months have been a culmination of grit, drive and team development. In October of 2015, Christian Chasmer and myself quit our full-time time jobs to pursue a full-time career in real estate investing. The same week we closed on a 3-family rental property. Most would consider that backwards thinking.

As we have grown, people ask what would make us do something like this? How can we just lose the security of a paycheck? It hasn't been a cakewalk; there have been some moments where money has been tight. We know the grind will pay off. Having bills and commitments is a great motivator to light a fire under your ass.

Like Tony Gaskins said, "If you don't build your dream, someone else will hire you to build theirs." I'm now 25 and think the best investment you can make is in yourself.

How do you keep things moving? How do you find these investment deals? How do you finance your flips? I can think of one word to describe our growth. Hunt. Wake up every morning with the drive to hunt an opportunity. Hunt a deal. Hunt a relationship. In the very beginning, we knocked on doors of homeowners in pre-foreclosure. Just by putting ourselves out there, we closed on 8 houses in 7 months this year. Always Hunt.

Building a business isn't for everyone, but being fulfilled is. Don't let time pass you by if you're not doing what you want to. Find something you believe in and align with people who share your values and beliefs. We have grown our team to 8 members. Most of them aren't paid but they believe in what we're building. We can't afford office space yet, so Monday meetings are pretty crowded in the living room. It's quite the site to see. We've upgraded to having another love seat since the photo.

The relationships we build and the process of growth are some of our core values. With that said, if you have any questions, feel free to ask us (we don't bite). Thanks for taking the time to learn about us. Till next time.

Au Revoir
