Hello All,

My Name is Cameron, I am 25 and i am based out of Connecticut. I am currently a full-tIme Commercial/Residential Agent. My focus is mainly on Multi-Family (2+ Units) and filling my gaps with Single family and condo sales. In my first full year of Real Estate (20-21) I sold 19 Properties and didn't see much earnings due to being a newer agent with an extremely awful splits (50/50). I have since left 2 companies due to the lack of value in search of broader horizons and I think I found a quality place to hang my hat for a while. I believe i will double my sales this year and be able keep much more of my money.

I recently stepped into fatherhood this month and instantly felt the pressure and need to make more money. This recent change and responsibility yielded me the opportunity to look at my life and evaluate my situation. I have always been self -sufficient and so is my partner. I am pro entrepreneur and can't see myself enjoying and succeeding in corporate America or traditional job. However, this sudden need for stability and insurance has been wearing on me. The debate to leave or not give 120% effort into Real Estate isn't something i see myself doing but in order to provide for my family i need a better way to sustain with my soon to be wife not working at this time to be with our child. I have started several small businesses but none have seemed to take off like Real Estate. I have a wide range of skill sets such as: Property Mgmt., Project Mgmt., Food Service, Sales, Construction and Design and most importantly helping others.

I am currently stuck between starting a new business to compliment my Real Estate Profession such as a small home Improvement Co., Property Mgmt. Co. (Need my Brokers Lic.) and or obtaining my home inspectors License -OR- finding a W2 Job such as a Property Manger, Project manager or any job that will pay me a reasonable amount to provide for my family and help me earn some more money to start investing. I usually figure things out on my own but with all the new change and value i've been gaining from BP I'm sure to find a resolution though these forums and self development.

Thank you all in advance and look forward to learning from you all.

Welcome to fatherhood (AKA the best motivation any man could ask for)!

Working under a mentor can be some of the best and cheapest practical education you'll ever receive.
